-- Read the Example Literary Analysis Planning Guide. -- Complete TWO Literary Analysis Planning Guides. There are three prompts provided for you but you can choose two of them. You can use any of the novels we have studied in class so far.
Friday, April 20
-- Choose a 2-3 page passage from Things Fall Apart Ch 1-5 and write five multiple choice questions. They must be aligned with the AP objectives (DEV, MI, ME, INF, CH). You must use the question writing guide as you complete this assignment. ![]()

-- Read Ch. 5 in Barron's "On Literature" and take notes in DTJ -- Attend ONE after school AP Lit work session from Thursday 3:30 - 5:00 and Friday 12:30 - 2:00 -- Per your contract, you must complete: ** Operation: LifeSavers Guide for your assigned book. -- For MC questions 21-25: For each incorrect answer you had, write complete explanations for why the correct answers are correct. -- Peer Writing Coding: For the analysis passage written by a classmate that you received, color code the sentences in the passage as either Power 1/2/3/4. Then, reorganize (rewrite if necessary) in order to compose a strongly organized analysis paragraph. Make sure your peer's ideas are still present. Bring BOTH the color-coded version and your new version on Thursday. Tuesday, April 3 -- Complete HoD multiple choice questions 11-15. Monday, April 2 - 11:59 PM -- Respond to a peer with an insightful comment on our class blog. Sunday, April 1 - 11:59 PM -- Free-response analysis extended paragraph #1 on Heart of Darkness Thursday, March 29 -- One page analysis extended paragraph on imagery as used in a passage of your choice from Conrad's Heart of Darkness. Tuesday, March 27 -- Read all of Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness and write DTJ entries for Chapters 1, 2, 3. |
